Aboriginal Peoples of Tasek Banding are not neglected
Tuesday - December 27, 2016 - Delivery ceremony of charity money was held to the aboriginal people who live around Banding Lake, Gerik. The ceremony is a collaboration between MAIPk and PLUS (M) Bhd. The ceremony was held at the Kg Sungai Tiang. It is also a project of CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) PLUS.
A total of 422 aboriginal community people have received aid in the form of cash at the event. The aboriginal community are from the villages around the Banding Lake which are: Pulau Koa Sg Chiung, Kg Pulau Tujuh, Kg Sg Temin, RPS Kemar, Kg Bagan Balak (Cadak), Kg Sg Rengat, Kg Pengkalan Permai, Kg Desa Ria, Kg Sg Tiang, Kg Kabel,Kg Kuala Raba, Kg Sg Raba, Kg Semelor dan Kg Desa Damai.
A total of 40 people consisting of Orang Besar Jajahan Hulu Perak, YB Toh Muda Orang Kaya-Kaya Seri Adika Raja Shahbandar Muda Dato' Meor Roslan bin Dato' Seri Meor Ahmad Rashidi were presented to present an aid to the recipient. Tan Sri Professor Dr. Nordin bin Kadri, Rector of the University of Sultan Azlan Shah, who is also Member of the Perak Islamic Religious Council & Malay Customs also present on the occasion.
MAIPk was led by Dr. Amiruddin bin Muhamed as Chief Executive Officer, Puan Hajah Wan Maizura binti Hj Wan Zahari, deputy chief executive officer (Management), Mr Ariff bin Apandi, Manager of Finance Division, Ustaz Bakri bin Lee, General Manager of the Distribution of Zakat, Mr. Ahmad Nazim bin Hj Md Tajuri, General Manager, Marketing Division, Mr. Amirudin bin Osman, Gerik District treasury officials were present at the ceremony together with the officers and staff of the Division of Zakat and MAIPk Gerik District.
PLUS (M) Bhd, which led by Mr. Mohd Yusuf bin Abdul Aziz, the manager of the Northern Territory. The ceremony also witnessed two aboriginal conversion of the brothers, Rosmaini bin Roslan and Badrul Hisyam bin Tuni. The ceremony was performed by Bahari bin Latif as Gerik area missionaries.
Although the communities placement of aboriginal community in the remote but their welfare and concerns of the MAIPk and the private sector, particularly, PLUS (M) Bhd. It is to meet the demands of religious and social responsibility regardless of geographical factors and skin color.
