Opening Ceremony of Masjid Umar Al-Khattab, Kariah Batu 4, Tambun, Nuzul Quran Perak State Level and the presentation of local Zakat for Kinta District

Ipoh, June 21, 2016 - Opening Ceremony of Masjid Umar Al-Khattab, Kariah Batu 4, Tambun was officiated by His Royal Highness the Sultan of Perak, Sultan Nazrin Shah Muizzuddin on 21 June 2016. Nuzul Quran Perak State Level was held simultaneously at the ceremony. Raja Nazrin, accompanied by the Raja Muda of Perak, Raja Jaafar Raja Muda Musa and Raja Di Hilir Perak Raja Iskandar Dzulkarnain Sultan Idris Shah then consented to break fast with the people.

Also present were Chief Minister Datuk Seri Dr Zambry Abdul Kadir, Mufti Perak Tan Sri Dr Harussani Zakaria and state exco line.
He then pray Maghrib with the guest of honor, invited guest and local community in the mosque.

During the ceremony, Sultan Nazrin also presented zakat of the Perak Islamic Religious Council worth of RM526,200 to the village chief representing 2,963 residents of eight district. Eight districts were Lahat who received RM96,400, Sungai Raia (RM77,600), Ulu Kinta District Tanjung Rambutan (RM136,600), Ulu Kinta District Chemor (RM98,800), Ulu Kinta District Ipoh (RM131,800) Sungai Terap (RM31,600), Tanjung Tualang (RM10,000) and Tronoh (RM9,800).

Immediately after that, he performed the Isha prayer and Tarawih prayers with the guest of honor, invited guest and local community in the mosque.
