Handing over Zakat Ceremony amounting of RM4.7 million
Kuala Kangsar - The hand over Zakat-Checks and the breaking of fast ceremony with His Majesty Paduka Seri Sultan Perak Darul Ridzuan was held on June 9, 2016 at the Iskandariah Palace, Kuala Kangsar.
Sultan of Perak, Sultan Nazrin Shah Muizzuddin receive zakat payment and plants from 8 companies and cooperatives totaling RM 4,707,668.41.
"Bank Kerjasama Rakyat Malaysia Berhad" which is represented by YB Dato' Seri Hamzah Zainuddin, the Minister of Domestic Trade, Cooperatives and Consumerism has given zakat of RM1,475,766.00. Felcra Perak Region, represented by the Hon. Dato' Haji Ramlee bin Abu Bakar, Chief Executive Officer, zakat ammounting of RM2,084,388.16. YM Dato' Seri Dr. Raja Ahmad Zainuddin bin Raja Haji Omar representing Perak Farmers Organization also handed zakat of RM538,115.23 and RM235,573.72 were also received from the Koperasi Peserta Peserta Rancangan Felcra Seberang Perak, represented by the Chairman, Mr. Zolkepli bin Samuri.
"Koperasi Permodalan Felda Berhad' represented by Mr. Mohammed Sunaini bin Yusof as the Senior General Manager handed over zakat of RM135,000.00. Angkatan Koperasi Kebangsaan Berhad (Angkasa) has handed over zakat of RM120,091.27 was represented by the Vice President, YBrs. Prof. Prof. Datuk Haji Mohamad Ali Hasan. "Pertubuhan Peladang Kawasan Kampung Gajah" handed over zakat of RM60,268.41 which was represented by the chairman, Mr Nordin Bin Mat Isa. Whereas a RM58,465.62 was received from Koperasi Guru Guru Melayu Hulu Perak and Kuala Kangsar, represented by Mr. Jamaai Mohd Bin Ahmad.
Sultan Nazrin then consented to deliver the checks in respect of the payment of zakat to the President of the Perak Islamic Religious Council (MAPK), Tan Sri Dr. Wan Mohd. Zahid Mohd. Nordin.
