Handover Ceremony of MAIPk Waqf Van to Sekolah Agama Rakyat Kampung Orang Asli Kenang, Sungai Siput
Ipoh, May 4, 2016 (Wednesday) - Perak Islamic Religious Council & Malay Customs (MAIPk) held a Handover Ceremony of Waqf Van at the compound of Kompleks Islam Darul Ridzuan. The ceremony began with a prayer and continued with a speech MAIPk from Chief Executive Officer, Dr. Amiruddin Bin Muhamed. MAIPk president, Tan Sri Dato' Dr Wan Mohd Zahid Bin Mohd Noordin was handing waqf van and subsequently donated to the waqf van to Ustaz Haji Halim Abdollah who is the Principal of "Sekolah Agama Rakyat Orang Asli Nurul Hidayah, Kampung Kenang Sungai Siput".
The van is the contribution of the Waqf funds Ar-Ridzuan Perak MAIPk which was launched by His Royal Highness the Sultan of Perak on April 7, 2016. This van contribution which will help the students to facilitate the movement of students from home to school, sent back during the school holidays, and allows students to do outdoor activities.
"Sekolah Agama Rakyat Orang Asli Nurul Hidayah" is the only religious schools devoted to the native people and is fully funded by MAIPk. Each year MAIPk allocated nearly RM1 million to cover operating costs and the learning of students.
Also present at the ceremony was Deputy Chief Executive Officer of MAIPk, Puan Hajah Wan Maizura Binti Haji Wan Zahari, General Manager of Management Services MAIPk, Mr. Rohizan Bin Haji Omar, General Manager of the Zakat MAIPk, Ustaz Bakri Bin Lee, Manager of Finance Division MAIPk, Mr Ariff Bin Appandi, MAIPk Marketing Division General Manager, Mr. Ahmad Nazim Bin Md. Tajuri and Operations Unit Manager Real Estate and Investment Division MAIPk, Mr. Mior Khairul Anas Bin Razali.
