MAIPk Receives Business Zakat amounting to RM667,889.50
KUALA LUMPUR, 16 July 2020 - His Majesty the Sultan of Perak Darul Ridzuan, Sultan Nazrin Muizzuddin Shah agreed to receive business zakat handover from five agencies worth RM667,889.50 at Istana Perak, Changkat Persekutuan.
During the ceremony, Angkatan Koperasi Kebangsaan Malaysia Berhad became the highest agency to make business zakat payments for the financial year ended 2019 amounting to RM210,690.50, followed by ETIQA Family Takaful Berhad, RM161,320.00, ETIQA General Takaful Berhad, RM100,000.00, Metropolitan Utilities Corporation Sdn. Bhd., RM100,000.00 and Rural Capital Berhad, RM95,879.00.
HRH Paduka Seri Sultan Perak then consented to deliver the checks in respect of the payment of zakat to the President, Majlis Agama Islam dan Adat Melayu Perak (MAIPk), YABhg. Tan Sri Dato ’Seri Dr. Wan Mohd Zahid bin Mohd Noordin.
This ceremony was also attended by, YBrs. Dr. Haji Ahmad Ruslan bin Mohd. Ridzuan, Orang Kaya Kaya Commander of Bukit Gantang Seri Amar Diraja, and Member of MAIPk, YABhg. Dato ’Seri Mohd. Annuar bin Zaini, YBhg. Rich People Like Your Majesty Tuan Dato ’Dr. Afifi al-Akiti, YBhg. Professor Dato ’Dr. Ansary bin Ahmed, as well as the Chief Executive Officer of MAIPk, YBrs. Mr. Shahrul Azam bin Shaari.
